  • Concordia is my second tablet, an iPad Pro, to replace my first tablet, Clifford -- a third generation iPad. Clifford was originally merely intended as a replacement for my old laptop, but elegance of that tablet and how perfectly optimized it was for doing certain tasks ended up changing the entire way that I approach technology around the house. Over the next four years, everything else in my technology infrastructure was upgraded or re-focused with an emphasis on streamlined devices that were targeted doing certain things and bringing technology out of my office and throughout the house where I needed it, which Clifford serving as the starting point for it all.
  • After four years, I was looking for a replacement for Clifford as he was no longer as fast as he once was, and certain features that matter to me (like his front-facing camera for videoconferencing) had been eclipsed by other devices. I still feel like the iPad is, generally, the best tablet available, and the new 9.7-inch iPad Pro had significant upgrades in every category that I care about, while maintaining the same screen size, so that was the model that I went with.
  • This computer was originally obtained March 31, 2016.
