April 20, 2006

March 18, 2006

  • Released Cotiro 0.3.0, which most notably adds support for XML input files, and restructures the distribution file, making it easier to launch the program.

March 3, 2006

  • Released the UDLP2 Link Shell v3.0.1, which (hopefully!) fixes a long-standing bug which caused the linked bots to continually just repeat their names.

November 19, 2005

  • Daisy 1.0 and 1.1 have both been re-released, now with source included under the GPL. Daisy 1.0 has been unavailable for many years. Go to the Download page for Daisy, and look under the Archives section!

November 4, 2005

  • Updated the Links page. Namely, added a link to an article at ComputorEdge about Billy and Daisy, and updated the link to the online Billy.

August 21, 2005

  • Released Cotiro 0.2. This version is the first of many enhancement releases, each of which will add one feature and bring Cotiro closer to an end-user-ready product. This version adds the ability for some constraints in the system to be "soft", which means that the system will attempt to satisfy them, but if necessary it will explore other options.

February 22, 2005

  • Released Cotiro 0.1, another new program. Cotiro was actually a research project into constraint satisfaction during my undergraduate studies. Given a set of courses, rooms, and teachers, Cotiro will produce a college time and room schedule, which take into account various constraints (like that a professor can only teach one class at a time).
  • Also added a paper I wrote on the subject of Cotiro to the Writings section.

November 17, 2004

  • Released GUSH 1.0. GUSH is actually a quite-old program of mine, but it has never before been publicly available. I'm going to try and put more of my non-Billy-related programs on this site, and GUSH is the first example of this. If you ever have to schedule college courses, check it out.

January 18, 2004

  • Released Billy 4.1. Several new features have been added, and many bugs have been fixed. Download it, or check out the release notes. Also, if you are upgrading from 4.0, check out the new FAQ.

January 5, 2004

  • Added some new links to the Links page, and removed some dead ones.

September 14, 2003

  • After 2 and a half years of work, Billy 4.0 is done, released, and you can now download it!
  • Also released today is the long-awaited UDLP2 Link Shell 3.0, to accompany the new Billy. However, it is a separate release and separate download.

August 25,2003

  • Versions of Billy from the 2.x days have been re-released after being unavailable for over 2 years. The source code is also available now for these "classic" versions of Billy.

August 13, 2003

  • Added a FAQ section for Billy.
