Waldorf fills an interesting niche in my computing needs. After years of upgrading my primary workstation, Fozzie, many extra computer components have built up -- enough, in fact, to build another computer. Waldorf is built (almost) entirely out of "inherited" computer parts, from various computers. At one time, Waldorf was a Linux-only computer, and is the only one of my computers to ever have had that status.
This computer was originally built October 15, 2005. After this, it was used lightly and then fell into disuse for almost a year.
On September 1, 2006, several components were changed and this computer began a new life as a computer for my mother and is again actively used.
This computer was retired on December 23, 2008. At this time it was replaced with a Dell Inspiron 530.
